Prayer to Draw Closer to God

Heavenly Father, I come before You, acknowledging that You are Spirit (John 4:24), and I seek to worship You in spirit and truth. As I draw near to You, I remember Your promise that if I seek You with all my heart, I will find You (Jeremiah 29:13). Lord, I ask for Your guidance and wisdom. Your Word says that if any of us lacks wisdom, we should ask of You, who gives generously to all without finding fault (James 1:5). Grant me understanding and clarity as I seek to know You more deeply. Help me to abide in You, Lord, as You abide in me (John 15:4). Teach me to remain in Your love, for Your love is perfect and casts out fear (1 John 4:18). I desire to dwell in Your presence, where there is fullness of joy (Psalm 16:11). As I meditate on Your Word, may it be a lamp to my feet and a light to my path (Psalm 119:105). Let Your scriptures fill my heart and guide my thoughts, drawing me ever closer to Your heart. Thank You for Your faithfulness and for the gift of prayer, where I can communicate with You freely. I trust in Your promise that if I draw near to You, You will draw near to me (James 4:8).
